Tehachapi Terror is run by Paul and Steph Saladino, who moved from Palmdale to Tehachapi in 2020.

Paul is an independent filmmaker, who also works as the Visual Asset Creator for Marley's Mutts Dog Rescue.

Steph has a lengthy history with both special effects makeup, as well as haunted houses.

 

Tehachapi Terror began in 2021, when Paul and Steph decided to try and put together a small, free haunted house for the community they had quickly fallen in love with. The decision was made in early September of that year, which left precious little time to prepare.

But with the help of generous local business sponsors, and tireless volunteers, the tiny bud that would eventually bloom into Tehachapi Terror was born.

 

That first year was indeed very small and primitive, yet the community's response left no question that this event had found a home in Tehachapi.

And over following two years, it grew in ways they could have never imagined, and the dreams of the entire crew continue to fuel the fire.

Each season Tehachapi Terror relies on generous local businesses and property owners for a location to house the event.

With the massive growth of last season, they are now in search of a non-residential building, approximately 3000sqft or more.
