FAQ
Q. Is your event scary?

A. "Scary" is somewhat subjective. We've seen 5 year olds come out laughing, and grown adults come out crying.
What we CAN tell you is that you can expect to encounter dark, confined spaces, fog machines, strobing lights, loud noises, frightening actors, and simulated gore and violence.
We recommend the event for anyone aged 12 and up, and require anyone younger to be accompanied by an adult.

Q. How much do tickets cost?

A. General admission is free, however we do offer front-of-the-line passes for $10 each!

Q. Is your event wheelchair accessible?

A. We do our absolute best to abide by ADA standards to allow our event to be wheelchair accessible. However some locations make this challenging. If in doubt, please reach out to us in advance, and we'll do our best to provide a definitive answer for you.

Q. Who should NOT attend your event?

A. We do not recommend Tehachapi Terror for anyone with seizure disorders, breathing problems, PTSD, heart problems, broken bones, or any other condition that may be aggravated by the elements described in question #1.
We also do NOT permit anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

Q. How do I volunteer?

A. We love that people are interested in working with us!! Our volunteers are truly what make this event possible.
If we have a location secured by July, volunteer applications open 4th of July weekend. Returning volunteers have first dibs on returning, and from there we determine what positions still need filling.
Each season we need a wide range of actors, setup/tear down help, and blackout personnel. We currently accept ages 16 and up.

Q. Have you tried getting the old K-Mart building?

A. Yes.
